Top sales quota for the Westphalian studbook

Münster: The Westphalian Summer Auction ended this afternoon with an exciting BidUp. Almost 90 percent of the horses offered were sold to new owners. The 34 riding horses sold cost an average of 19,243 euros. Most popular offer was the Baron daughter Be Pretty. She changed hands for 44,500 euros. The most expensive show jumper was Celia by Crusoe with a hammer price of 38,500 euros.

Around 40 young horses for the dressage arena or the show jumping course were for sale in this summer auction. With the head number 4, the 2nd Reserve Champion Mare of the Westphalian Elite Show of 2022 entered the virtual auction floor. Be Pretty was the most popular offer of this summer auction. Nine parties placed a bid for the talented mare. After an exciting BisUp, she changed hands with the 47^th bid for 44,500 euros. The daughter of Baron/Dollmann (breeder: Hendrik Schulte-Märter, Soest; exhibitor: Schulte-Märter und Schulze-Buxloh GmbH, Soest) is not only beautiful. She passed her mare performance test with a final score of 8.33 and received a 9.0 for trot and canter. The mare's damline is also outstanding. Numerous licensed stallions and sport horses that have been successful up to the advanced level descent from this line. A special daughter of the Warendorf state stud stallion Zoom presented herself with the head number 6. She was bred by Winfried Albers, Neuenkirchen, out of the St.Pr.St. Fürstin Gloria by Fürst Heinrich. Striking in type, coloring and movement quality, Zuperbunt convinced the prospective buyers. Her dam passed her mare performance test with an outstanding final score of 8.54 and has already produced several offspring that have been successful in the advanced level. Zuperbunt changed hands at the hammer price of 38,000 Euros. Also highl in the favour of the customers was the head number 12 Scarlett B. The four-year-old daughter of Secret/Argentinus (breeder and exhibitor: Eva-Maria Brungs, Kaarst) impressed with her very good basic gaits and excellent work attitude. The bay mare also cracked the 30,000 euro mark and changed hands to German customers for 37,000 euros.

The lot of dressage horses was completed by a strong moving licensed riding pony stallion. Dauphin K WE by Dallmayr K/Olivier K WE (breeder: Hermann Koopmeiners, Cappeln; exhibitor: Reitanlage Sonnenbrink GmbH, Apelern) won the bronze medal at the Bundeschampionat last year and placed highly in riding pony competitions several times. He aroused the interest of ten bidding parties. In the end, he changed hands to customers from Germany for 20,500 euros.

The jumping auction candidates also found favour among the customers of the Westphalian Studbook. The most popular young prospect for the show jumping ring this Sunday had the head number 36. The daughter of Crusoe shows an exemplary work attitude combined with an overview and grreat jumping ability. The five-year-old was bred by Hubert Waning, Vreden, out of the Verb.Pr.St. Bella by Balous Bellini. She has already produced several auction foals and a licensed stallion by Taloubet Z. Celia brought her exhibitor Tobias Schult, Hünxe, 38,500 Euros today. She will start her sport career in Finland. Also breaking the 30,000 euro mark was head number 32, the licensed stallion Ascii S by Abke (breeder: Klaus-Rüdiger Staats, Bahrdorf; exhibitor: Birgit Staats, Bahrdorf), who has already been successful in competitions up to medium level. He is a half-brother to the CSI-successful Coleman S. At the hammer price of 36,000 Euros, the talented bay will continue his jumping career in the USA.

A total of 24 dressage horses and all ten show jumpers on offer changed hands at this summer auction. The Westphalian Studbook thus achieved a total sales quota of 89 percent. With a total turnover of 654,250 Euros, the young talents for the dressage ring and show jumping course cost an average of 19,243 Euros. 18 of the horses sold will start their sport careers outside Germany.
